  • Jason Bloomberg

The world of enterprise application development is in the midst of a paradigm shift, as business and technology leaders alike are realizing that the traditional six-month, million-dollar app dev project is a thing of the past.

In its place, modern practices and technologies are turning traditional app dev upside down. Leading the charge: Low-Code and No-Code platforms that accelerate and streamline the work of software developers, and bring application construction to a new cadre of ‘citizen’ developers, respectively.

However, as with many emerging markets, the Low-Code/No-Code marketplace is fraught with confusion. For their part, the large analyst firms struggle to understand this emerging space. Even the separate notions of ‘Low-Code’ and ‘No-Code’ are themselves confusing, as the intended user is more important than whether or not they might want to write any code.

Furthermore, as Software-Defined approaches drive innovation in the Low-Code/No-Code space, the platforms will become both powerful enough to be enterprise-class and simple enough for citizen developers to use.

Attendees of this keynote will:

  • Gain clarity into the complex, dynamic Low-Code/No-Code space
  • Understand the opportunities that rapid Low-Code/No-Code innovation presents
  • Gain insight into the future of enterprise application development

  • Chuck Blakeman

Unlike any management workshop you’ve ever attended, and a lot more practical.

75% of the reasons someone will leave an organization are directly related to management. The data says the biggest reason our businesses struggle is because managers manage, when they should be leading. But over the last 150 years, management has become conflated with leadership to the point that we don’t even see a distinction.

Yet management has nothing in common with leadership. The on-the-ground success stories show that managers all need to become leaders.

Manage stuff. Lead people. People are not stuff. We’ll show you how to get there.

Real takeaways that you can implement right away:

  • The deep and unnecessary cost of the “Management Tax”
  • Simple Steps to move from stifling management to empowering leadership
  • 7 Steps to put a leadership team in place that replaces management
  • 8 Steps to creating more productive, more profitable, more organized, higher retention self-managed teams.
  • The simple 2-step Decision Making Process that creates 100% engagement
  • 4-step training that turns employees into Stakeholders, and managers into Leaders
  • A quick look at an 11-step hiring process that attracts only highly engaged Stakeholders
  • Your specific and unique decision-making profile and how it affects everything you do

This one-of-a-kind workshop will show you how to smash the hierarchy, rehumanize the workplace, stop managing, lead better, and implement the simple principles, practices and tools that drive growth, productivity, profitability, and exponentially higher staff retention.

First 10 registrants of this workshop will receive a signed copy of Chuck’s book entitled, “Why Employees Are Always a Bad Idea: And Other Business Diseases of the Industrial Age”! Books will also be available for purchase on-site.

  • Jason Bloomberg

Management consulting firms are only too happy to provide senior executives with the broad strokes of a digital strategy, explaining how realigning technology investments to address changing customer demands can improve the competitiveness of the organization.

Correspondingly, system integrators and other technology consulting firms are cashing in on digital technology deployments, as they build out mobile applications and cloud-based services that free their customers from the clutches of legacy technology.

The problem is that there is a substantial gap in the middle between these two extremes. Digital strategies must be technology empowered, and digital technology efforts must go hand-in-hand with organizational transformation for digital efforts to succeed.

To bridge these extremes, enterprises must rethink their application development strategy. On the one hand, it must be customer-focused. On the other, it must take advantage of modern advances in technology, including the cloud, streaming data, containers and microservices, and artificial intelligence, to name a few.

By rethinking application development, this workshop will empower anyone with one foot in technology and the other in business to help their organizations transform for the new digital reality. Regardless of role, however, digital transformation has changed the game.

Attendees will:

  • Understand the context for enterprise Digital Transformation, Agile transformation, and how they complement each other — what we call Agile Digital Transformation.
  • How enterprise application development is in the midst of a paradigm shift that is changing how enterprises leverage software to provide customer value.
  • Work together to assemble a Digital Transformation action plan they can take back to their organizations.
